Transmission loss and characteristic analysis of double Helmholtz resonators with different connection modes

Abstract: In order to study the resonance frequency and transmission loss of the double Helmholtz resonators with different connection modes,the finite element model of single and double Helmholtz resonators is established by using Virtual.Lab Acoustics software.The characteristics of transmission losses of double Helmholtz resonators in series or parallel cases are calculated.Simulation results show that the resonance frequency of the double Helmholtz resonator with same volumes is slightly increased and sound absorption performance is improved significantly.When double Helmholtz resonators with different volumes,the resonance frequency is the resonance frequency of resonant cavity,and does not affect each other.When two Helmholtz resonators are connected in series,it conforms to the law of vibration of two degree of freedom spring mass vibration system,according to Helmholtz parallel relationship and extending to the perforated panel,the actual model of perforated panel was established.With the standing wave tube test of the actual model,through comparison with simulation of perforated panel,the correctness of the perforated panel model is verified.
