Design and research of hybrid suspension system for evacuated tube train

Abstract: Evacuated tube train was proposed to eliminate the huge aerodynamic drag of high speed train.As a new transportation with super-high speed on the ground,evacuated tube train has broad prospects for development and application.The hybrid suspension system for evacuated tube train is studied,to avoid the short of single EDS or EMS,a hybrid suspension structure,consisting of permanent magnet electrodynamic suspension and electromagnetic suspension,is designed.The structure is calculated and simulated using Ansoft Maxwell.According to the result,this hybrid suspension system can lower the liftoff velocity effectively,decrease the drag force and power loss,while increasing the ratio of lifting force and drag force,thus is more suitable for evacuated tube train.
