PCD刀具表面镀金电火花成形加工对比试验研究*

Study on comparative experiments of electric discharge machining for gold-plated surface of PCD cutting tools

摘要: 为研究弱导电PCD刀具电火花加工(Electrical Discharge Machining,EDM)的工艺指标及其影响规律,设计了四因素四水平正交试验,从材料蚀除角度分析脉冲宽度、脉冲间隔、峰值电流和伺服电压这4个主要电参数对PCD刀具的表面粗糙度、材料去除率(Material Removal Rate,MRR)和加工稳定性的影响。针对PCD材质的弱导电性能,对其表面进行镀金处理,并经相同参数正交试验进行试验。结果表明:在窄脉宽(<5 μs)、低电流(<5 A)电参数情况下,镀金样本较未镀金样本的表面粗糙度Ra值平均降低了约9.85 %,材料去除率最大时提高了约1.45 倍,加工稳定性指标改善明显。

Abstract: To research the process indicators and influencing mechanisms of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) for weakly conductive Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) cutting tools,a four-factor and four-level orthogonal experimental design was employed to analyze the effects of PCD cutting tools of pulse width,pulse interval,peak current,and servo voltage on surface roughness,Material Removal Rate (MRR),and machining stability from the perspective of material erosion.Considering the poor electrical conductivity of PCD materials,a gold plating treatment was applied to its surface,followed by an orthogonal test with the same parameters. The results show that under electrical parameters with narrow pulse width (<5 μs) and low current (<5 A),the average surface roughness Ra value of the gold-plated samples is reduced by about 9.85 %,the maximum material removal rate is increased by approximately 1.45 times,and the machining stability index is significantly improved.
