Analysis for the structure of product information flow of PLM design phase based on information measurement

Abstract: In order to qualitatively and quantitatively describe the state information of each link in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) design phase,each link’s uncertainty of status information in design phase was analyzed by information entropy,the size of obstacles encountered in each link for reaching a certain state,which was analyzed by information distance.Then the three dimensional model of product was established by TBS method and analyzed its state information,the results indicates that when the customer demand for product increases,the information of product in the design and transition status increases accordingly,this method provides the basis of informatics for the development of product in PLM design phase.
