Temperature feature of yaw damper and the effect on vehicle safety

Abstract: The temperature features and time domain features of yaw damper are analyzed based on test,and the influence of the oil temperature of yaw damper on the vehicle safety is simulated with SIMPACK software.Temperature feature test shows that the energy absorbed by yaw damper,the dynamic damping and stiffness of damper increase as the temperature decreases.Low temperature influence on dynamic feature of damper is bigger than high temperature.There is no obvious change in the dynamic characteristics of yaw damper within 5h simulated test,whether in low temperature or normal temperature.The simulation result shows that oil temperature of yaw damper has less influence on vehicle safety.
