The simulation of curtain airbag for side collision of cars

Abstract: Aiming at the problem that the side collision is large in traffic accidents and the high mortality rate,the computer simulation method is used to study protective effect of side curtain airbag.The CAD model of curtain airbag was designed by CATIA,and validity of the model was verified by static initiation and dynamic impact experiment.In the MADYMO,the occupant side collision control system and the positive control system were established by using the PSM sub-structure method.The experiment was carried out to optimize the head,and the acceleration curve of the dummy head was obtained.The results show that it is good for protective effect of the curtain airbag on the dummy,which provides a theoretical basis for the popularization of the curtain airbag.
