Inverse calculation of fine-pitch gear parameters based-on image measurement

Abstract: For the problem that fine-pitch gear parameters can’t be got by the contact measuring method based traditional three-coordinates measuring machine,the inverse calculation model of radius of basic circle based on least square principle and its solving algorithm have proposed by using the coordinate of points on tooth profiles from the image measurement.After figuring out the radius of basic circle,the other parameters of gear can be got by using the other data from the image measurement.Gear pump case analysis show that the proposed inverse calculation method is effective.The study can help the general aviation part maintenance.
