The process analysis and tooth surface optimization with plated CBN gear-honing-tools

Abstract: Plating CBN gear-honing-tools processing gear with standard involute,the general vicinity of the workpiece tooth pitch will be a “mid concave” error.For the form factor of the error is more complex,it is difficult to calculate errors with an exact analytical method.To this end,the use of Pro/E and ANSYS software,the contact analysis of plating CBN hard honing process was simulated and the equivalent stress of gear contact surface had been derived.Can find the stress concentration zone in the whole process,and we consider it is the concave error area.According to the data of this region,the tooth surface is optimized,and its stress concentration is reduced.By regression analysis,the maximum contact stress is reduced to the average of the whole tooth engagement process.In the production of plating CBN gear-honing-tools,the necessary tooth surface modification can eliminate or reduce the tooth profile error and improve the accuracy of the machining gears.The promotion of honing technology is important.
