Research on improvement of dispensing quality of pneumatic jetting valve

Abstract: The consistency and the quantity of satellite droplet are important indicators to the jetting quality.In order to improve the jetting quality effectively,a mathematical model was established.The model can estimate the spring preload which is required for critical jetting,adjust the injection speed close to the critical jetting velocity by adjusting the spring preload,which can avoid satellite droplet and improve the glue dot consistency.Firstly,the cylinder model and the jetting model were established to obtain the glue resistance and gas resistance which will block the movement of pin.And then,the drive energy and the spring preload can be obtained base on the jetting theory and the energy conservation theorem.The availability of the model and the feasibility of the jetting quality improving method were verified.Finally,experimental obtained glue dots with diameter of 0.45 mm without any satellite droplet which consistency error is under 5 %.
