Design and implementation of detecting system for defects of bearing surface

Abstract: In view of the requirement of on-line bearing surface defects detection and shortage of the method of traditional manual,design a set of defects detection of bearing surface based on TMS320DM642.The system hardware platform mainly include video codec module,video storage module,programmable logic controller CPLD and core DSP chip;Software design include bearing image capture,image preprocessing,image positioning,subtraction processing,morphological operating,defects recognition,etc.The experiment results shows that,this system has the features of good stability,high reliability and good real-time performance,it can be used for real time detection of bearing surface defects.
