From computer integrated manufacturing to “Industry 4.0”

Abstract: Firstly,the background of the modern manufacturing paradigm was briefly summarized;and the evolution of the modern manufacturing paradigm and the informationization of manufacturing industry were reviewed.Then the superficial understanding of “Industry 4.0” was proposed,and the research and application progresses of Chinese Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation were presented.The conclusion is that “Industry 4.0” came from the rapid development of the Information and Communication Technology(ICT) such as cloud computing,internet of things / services,artificial intelligent,big data,and “Industry 4.0” is a new paradigm of intelligent manufacturing which follows with the paradigm of computer integrated manufacturing,concurrent engineering and agile manufacturing.
