Influence of general rail and grooved rail on the dynamic performance of modern tramcar

Abstract: Based on multi-body dynamics software SIMPACK,the simulation model of the modern tram with four modules is established.Considering the influence of CHN60 general rail and 60R2 groove rail,the nonlinear motion stability,linear running stability and curve passing ability of the tramcar are studied.The results show that the vehicles with two types of rail have good dynamic performance;Although the nonlinear stability and the stability of CHN60 rail vehicles are better than 60R2 groove rail vehicles,they differ slightly.The groove rail vehicle has better curving performance,and the groove rail section has a certain function in the guard rail,therefore,it is suggested to use groove rail for rail type selection.
