Analyses and simulation of vane surface based on MATLAB and CATIA

Abstract: The core of the digital manufacturing is believed to be the numerical control machining and the geometric modeling of industrial product.In the developing process of manufacturing industry,the crucial research problems were identified to be the improving the accuracy of numerical control machining and modeling of freeform surface product,etc.The constructed geometric models of aircraft vane were analyzed for the error and fairness in the context of CATIA.It was showed that biquartic NURBS surface should have higher fairness than bicubic NURBS surface under the same condition,and biquartic NURBS surface could be supposed to be more significant for research and development.Finally,the correctness and feasibility of numerical control machining of the biquartic NURBS surface were tested and verified through simulation.
