Numerical analysis and extrusion pressure optimization of precision hole abrasive flow machining

Abstract: On account of the machining problem caused by pore size is small,high precision about diesel engine electronic control unit pump body oil passage hole,motion state of fluid abrasive was analyzed in the process of abrasive flow machining medium oil hole through building the oil hole squeeze grinding abrasive flow simulation model based on thorough analysis the mechanism of precision hole of abrasive flow processing,and it was further analyzed including oil passage pressure,velocity,turbulent kinetic energy and their influence on machining effect under the different squeeze grinding pressure (such as 5.1MPa,5.7MPa,6.9MPa).Results show that the adoption of 6.9MPa squeeze pressure,it is better for fluid abrasive to cross the rounded and oil duct hole wall surface treatment effect,and the machining efficiency and surface uniformity are the best.Research results can provide theoretical guidance for the next step experimental verification of pump body oil passage hole abrasive flow processing.
