Optimization design of ZC1 worm gearing based on improved particle swarm algorithm

Abstract: Based on parameter analysis,selected the axial module,radius of arc tooth profile of grinding wheel,lead angle as optimization variable to have a optimization design for ZC1worm gearing.For better meshing performance,induced normal curvature and lubrication angle were selected as objective functions.Combining with the constraints about top thickness of worm,top thickness of worm wheel and undercutting,the optimum mathematical model was established.The improved particle swarm algorithm was adopted as optimization algorithm and the results show that the optimized lubrication angle and induced normal curvature are better.It’s effective to improve meshing performance of worm gearing.
