Secondary development of ABAQUS in the simulation of cutting of titanium alloy

Abstract: Based on the finite element software of ABAQUS,the Python language was used for pre-processing module of ABAQUS for secondary development.By discussing the ways of ABAQUS secondary development,developed a Python script on cutting simulation of titanium alloy.The procedure was characteristic of friendly interface and strong operation so that users can create a simulation model according to actual parameters of cutting titanium alloy.This method not only improved the efficiency of the analysis,but also provided users with a convenient platform for analysis and design.The procedure was used to analyze the influence of cutting depth on the main cutting force in cutting of titanium alloy.Verified the feasibility of the function and gave a way for further research on different cutting rates on the main cutting force in cutting of titanium alloy.
