Analysis of ATV ride comfort based on multi-body dynamics

Abstract: The modeling method of ATV ride comfort was discussed,the multi-body dynamics software should be use to establish the rigid-flexible coupling model of hand reaction and seat vibration,and the evaluation method of riding comfort was summarized.Under the condition of considering the excitation of the engine,the simulation of the ride comfort of the vehicle is carried out under the random road surface.The influence of parameters such as suspension and cushion on hand reaction and seat vibrations was discussed by the orthogonal test method.The results show that the damping of the front and rear suspension has a great influence on the vibration of the seat and the handle,but the effect is different,so should be a reasonable configuration.The stiffness and damping of the seat have great influence on the vibration of the seat.Properly reducing the seat stiffness and damping is an effective way to improve seat vibration.
