Modeling and simulation of seat comfort based on body pressure distribution

Abstract: Aiming at the shortcomings of objective evaluation method of seat comfort,chooses a commercial vehicle seat,in order to build the simulation model,the H-point measuring device is used as the dummy,and the seat design angle is acted as the reference.Based on the ideal distribution of body pressure,the seat comfort is evaluated by the simulation results,and the experimental results are validated by four objective evaluation indexes:maximum pressure,average pressure,contact area and weight ratio.The results show that the body pressure distribution is close to the ideal body pressure distribution for the main contact area of the seat,and the value of the body pressure distribution of shoulder,waist and thigh is close to the experiment and simulation.The simulation model can accurately reflect the HPM-seat interface key parts of the distribution characteristics of body pressure.The modeling method can establish a standard range of objective evaluation indexes for seat comfort,and provide guidance for the design and development of seat.
