Abstract: To realize the optimum selection of used product remanufacturing scheme, the complexity of used product remanufacturing scheme is analyzed, and an entropy-based complexity measurement model for used product remanufacturing scheme is presented. In this method, the Failure Model and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods, social network approach and information entropy theory are integrated to analyze the influence degree of the three factors, uncertainty of the criticality and damage level of used component, the post recovery schemes and the state of remanufacturing system,on the complexity of used product remanufacturing scheme in a quantitative way,the optimal remanufacturing scheme is gained by comparing the complexity entropy of different schemes.A used engine is taken as an example to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the above assessment model.

Key words: remanufacturing, used product, information entropy, complexity measurement
