Abstract: Study on an extended-range electric vehicle as object of reference, according to the basic parameters and the performance index of power system, parameters matching and selection of the power system of the extended-range electric vehicle is carried out,and verified by the experiment in field test. The results show that the vehicle can meet the maximum speed, acceleration performance, climbing performance and design mileage requirements,to verify the rationality of the power matching. At the same time,a comparative experiment was carried out on by setting procedures for working point are provided with fixed point strategy,2~5 strategies and continuous working strategies were analyzed the results showed that three working point is more reasonable, and the working point of traditional and continuous working strategies have their limitations. This experiment provides the basis for the subsequent development of extended-range electric vehicle.
