Abstract: Spring strip is a key component of sliding sleeve valve used in the injection-production combination technology of heavy oil thermal recovery. It can drive the sliding sleeve movement and achieve the function of open and close of sliding sleeve valve.Using the method of equal effects, spring strip was equivalent to arched beam with both ends fixed. And the mathematical model for maximum deflection of spring strip was deduced based on the superposition principle. The finite element analysis was used to simulate the strength and deformation of spring strip via ABAQUS software to make sure the rationality of the design of spring strip.Did the finite element analysis of various spring strips in the sliding sleeve valve series and compared with calculation results of mathematical model. And then defined the correction factor based on the error magnitude to achieve the optimization of mathematical model. Finally the accuracy of the mathematical model for maximum deflection of spring strip was verified by experiment and which provides the theoretical basis for the design of similar spring strips.

Key words: spring strip, superposition principle, mathematical model of deflection, finite element analysis, correction factor
