Meshing force and finite element analysis of cycloidal gear drive

Abstract: The meshing force between pin wheels and cycloidal gears with standard profile and profile modification is calculated.The meshing teeth is judged by distribution curve of initial gap.The parametric model of cycloidal gear and pin wheel is built.The finite element model of the cycloidal gear and pin wheel are built by ANSYS with the principle of segment the contact path.Finite element method is applied to perform tooth contact stress analysis of cycloid reducer including standard cycloid reducer and profile modification cycloid reducer.The maximum meshing force with friction is obtained from finite element analysis.The analysis result is compared to the theoretical computation results,and that would take a reference for the analysis of force on engineering.
