Simulation analysis of infantry combat vehicle barbette circle contact characteristic with clearance

Abstract: The barbette circle connects the weapon system and the batholith system of infantry combat vehicle which endures the firing load transferred by the barbette and endures the road load transferred by the car-body.The barbette circle with clearance contact characteristic is simulated applying finity element method aiming at the excessive ball bearing and complicated contact in the barbette circle structure.The barbette circle entity model is built up by SolidWorks.The contact characteristic of full load and part load ball bearings with circle structure are calculated and analyzed applying ANSYS finity element method,then the result is compared and the contact coefficient is calculated based on the contact formula.The result shows that the penetrations of full load and part load ball bearing are same and the pressures are germination in the situation of same borderline and origin which indicate the feasibility of part load ball bearing method,and afford basic data for further dynamic simulation.
