Numerical analysis on Helmholtz resonator and metamaterials application

Abstract: Finite element analysis software is used to simulate the single Helmholtz resonator,the differences between theoretical value of lumped parameter model and simulation value are contrasted,the influence of resonant cavity aspect ratio on resonant frequency is analyzed.Since the resonant frequency band of a single resonator is very narrow,the resonant frequency band can be widened by the geometric structure of the cavity series and parallel.The periodic Helmholtz resonator consisting of one-dimesional analysis of metamaterials,confirmed that this kind of structure has good performance of low frequency noise reduction.
